About Arctic SnowHotel

"The Arctic SnowHotel, located about 26 km from Rovaniemi, is one of the largest ice and snow hotels in the region. Inside, the rooms and corridors are decorated with ice art and coloured lighting and the temperature is kept between 0°C and -5°C. Guests sleep on frozen beds layered with reindeer skins, inside cosy sleeping bags intended for extreme artic conditions. The Arctic SnowHotel also features heated glass igloos that offer wide, unobstructed views of the sky for overnight guests." ~ Nordic Visitor, Lapland

In the Lapland region of Finland, on the shores of lake Lehtojärvi, experience the unique destination Arctic SnowHotel & Glass Igloos, where visitors can enjoy a snow sauna and eat at a restaurant and bar made of ice.

SnowHotel and Glass Igloos are situated along the Arctic Circle, approximately 26 kilometers, or slightly over 16 miles, away from the town of Rovaniemi in Finland.

While the Glass Igloos welcome guests starting on the first of September, it's not until the 15th of December that the SnowHotel opens, allowing visitors to also enjoy the unique snow sauna experience.

Throughout the winter season, spanning from December to February, guests have a wide array of activities to partake in, including tobogganing, floating in a Laavu (a shelter with a fireplace) on the ice, trying their hand at ice sculpting, savoring drinks at the pop-up ice bar, engaging in ice fishing, snowshoeing, electric snow scooting, snowmobiling, embarking on a husky tour, exploring a reindeer farm, and more. Additionally, SnowHotel and Glass Igloos offer various spa packages for both public and private sessions, as well as guided sauna experiences. For the public sauna, there are specific sauna times for men and women.

The glass igloos provide the opportunity to see the aurora borealis, and include alarms to wake you to see from the comfort of your bed, whereas the snow hotel is made entirely of snow and ice with no views of the aurora. Either way, you are in for an experience unlike any other. Breakfast buffet's are included with any overnight stays.
