About TeamLab Mifuneyama | チームラボ御船山

Embark on a sensory journey that seamlessly fuses the ancient serenity of a Japanese hot spring with the cutting-edge innovation of contemporary art at the Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel Rakan Bath. TeamLab , renowned for their immersive art experiences, collaborated with the hotel to create "A Forest Where Gods Live," an awe-inspiring exhibition set against the backdrop of the tranquil mountains. Join Sho Ikushima and a guest as they navigate through this unique installation, allowing art to intertwine with nature and relaxation.

The Rakan Bath, a recipient of the prestigious SAUNACHELIN Grand Prix for three consecutive years (2019, 2020, and 2021), has undergone a complete renovation, promising an elevated bathing experience. The men's bath has been transformed into a haven for meditation, featuring a sauna where guests can relish löyly—a Finnish tradition of pouring hot water on sauna stones to generate steam. The water used is sourced from the pristine Mt. Mifune, and the sauna experience is enriched with the aroma of roasted tea from Ureshino, Saga. Additionally, the men's bath boasts a cold water bath with hot spring water chilled to a refreshing 16 degrees Celsius. A sprawling open-air bath, seamlessly integrated with the natural surroundings of Mt. Mifune, provides a breathtaking space for relaxation.

The women's bath mirrors the men's in its commitment to rejuvenation and tranquility. Equipped with a meditation sauna featuring löyly from Mt. Mifune's natural water, the women's bath introduces the sensory delight of Kugel—aroma balls that release fragrances when placed atop a sauna stove. A cold water bath, steam sauna, and an open-air bath enveloped in the pristine nature of Mt. Mifune contribute to a holistic and revitalizing experience. The addition of a cozy café, offering homemade pudding and detox water, further enhances the indulgent atmosphere, inviting guests to linger and savor moments of tranquility.

As guests immerse themselves in the art-infused hot spring experience and navigate the renovated baths, the fusion of contemporary creativity with the timeless allure of nature becomes apparent. The Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel Rakan Bath transcends the conventional boundaries of relaxation, offering a space where art, wellness, and the pristine surroundings of Mt. Mifune seamlessly converge.
